Dean of Academics
A true Colorado native, Mrs. Burkinshaw runs CRCA’s academics behind the scenes—she wrangles curriculum, mentors teachers, and keeps accreditation on track—all while carving out time for backpacking and skiing. Her superpower? Equipping both students and teachers to confidently live out their faith and knowledge every day.

Amy is CRCA’s resident “brand boss,” juggling life as Marketing Director and Art Teacher while making sure the school’s story shines. Five years in, she’s still blending creativity, faith, and a love for kids—plus a few adventures around Colorado when she can escape the office.

Betty Stedman
1st grade
If there’s a spark of joy when a child finally cracks the code of reading — she’s probably right there celebrating it. With decades of experience, a deep love for children, and a heart for helping students grow in both confidence and faith, she brings warmth, wisdom, and joy into the first-grade classroom every day. Her greatest passion is teaching children to read so they can one day open God’s Word for themselves and discover who He is.

Now in her fourth year of teaching, Ms. B loves bringing learning to life through creative projects, meaningful Bible lessons, and (yes!) math. With an artistic eye and a heart for helping students grow, she creates a classroom where curiosity is encouraged and students are challenged to do their best.

Mrs. A has a joyful presence and a love for kids that’s obvious the moment you walk into her classroom, she creates a space where students feel known, encouraged, and excited to learn. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, going on walks with her dog, watching sports and baking (especially during Christmastime).

Colleen Sprister
3rd- 5th Grade Educational Support Specialist
Mrs. Sprister loves coming alongside our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders each day. She brings patience, wisdom, and a calm, steady presence to the classroom—and is always happy to jump in wherever she’s needed. She enjoys traveling with her family (Costa Rica is a favorite!), serving on family mission trips, and cheering on students as they grow in confidence and leadership.

6th + 7th Educational Support Specialist
Mrs. Burt brings energy, creativity, and a love for hands-on learning to everything she does. She’s known for dreaming up out-of-the-box activities, coordinating memorable field trips, and jumping in wherever students or teachers need support. A busy mom of four, she understands middle schoolers well and loves helping them learn, grow, and discover how fun school can be. Her heart for kids—and her enthusiasm for learning—make her an essential part of the CRCA crew.

Spanish + P.E.
Ms. Val’s CRCA story started as a substitute (mom win), grew into teaching Spanish, and now includes P.E.—because why stop there? Following God’s lead each step of the way, she brings movement, music, and lots of laughter into every class. If there’s dancing, learning, sparkles or smiling involved, she’s all in. Outside the classroom, she loves music, laughing often, and keeping up with life with her husband and their four kids.
